Wednesday, May 29, 6-8pm, Blind Sailing Association of Canada will hold their annual Open House & Pub Night at the Jester on Yonge Tap & Grill, 1427 Yonge Street.
Also on Wednesday, May 29, at 7:00pm, at Artscape Daniel’s Launch Pad, is the opening night of the ReelAbilities Film Festival Toronto. RSVP to maxineb@mnjcc.org.
Thursday, May 30, from 6:30-8:30pm, there will be a Wheel-Trans 10-year Strategic Plan Update Meeting, at St Paul’s Bloor Street, 227 Bloor Street East, Toronto, ON, M4W 1C8.
Thursday, June 6, at 6:00pm Eastern, the CCB, Sterling Creations and Elections Canada will co-host an ‘Elections Tele-town hall via Zoom conference. RSVP to the Canadian Accessible Elections Town Hall Committee at CAET2019@gmail.com.
Thursday, June 6, from 4:30pm to 8pm, and Friday June 7 from 8am to 7pm, the Variety Village Access Expo (formerly the People in Motion Show) will be held at Variety Village, 3701 Danforth Avenue, Toronto. The CCB will be there representing the blind and low-vision community, along with many other disability groups and organizations!
On Wednesday, June 12, we’ll be holding our annual Walk-a-thon & Beach BBQ to raise funds for our Chapter and its operations. This is a 5km ‘walk-what-you-can event along the Beaches Boardwalk. Pledge forms are available at our monthly meetings or online at www.ccbtorontovisionaries.ca/walkathon.php

Our Volunteer Coordinator, Mato Aguilar, is collecting products and assistive equipment for redistribution through a vision loss organization in the Philippines. Used white canes, magnifiers, low-vision aids, etc, can be dropped to Mato at our Monthly meetings. For more information, contact Mato at volunteering@ccbtorontovisionaries.ca

In lieu of a guest speaker, we’ll be featuring two or three of our own members who will be bringing their talents to our Talent Night fund-raiser in October!
